Doom and Gloom Else World Tales of Ponies

I promised myself to do more cheerful things after this. Since my discovery of the very awesome Evil beauty that is Nightmare Rarity I decided to do a pic of some ideas of what would be the dark side of mane six. the lower half actually is oddly fitting to this group & is my own sprites of MonsterBunnies' idea of her own what if comic. I won't go into details but I will simply state that it asks the question: What if the sonic rainbow that made them friends & get their cutiemarks never happened? I will now give a bit of description of my Dark Mane Six so be aware the fallowing is a lot of text to read which you can do at your own pleasure.

Princess of Order Twilight Sparkle: No doubt slight changed but the same idea from my "Does Hope Trot alone?" idea. The Princess of Order a lot of sense given that her OCD is one of her biggest flaws that we love her for. The idea of Twilight letting this flaw consume her combined with her being a inexperienced Princess with no guidance leads me to believe she would be the opposite of Discord. Everything runs on her schedule and to her plans no time for fun or change for that is waste of time which is valuable to her.

Nightmare Rarity: Or Nightmarity as I call her, given that I haven't read the comic so I don't exactly what brought on this change other than the spirit that has possessed Rarity is the same one that made Luna into Nightmare Moon. I find it some what fitting some fashion. ([link] ) If you remember what her dream was in season 1 of the show and she still has the dream bit, her dream was to have her fairytale princess dream of meeting the right guy who would treat her like a lady and be loved by all. Nightmarity is a dark twist to that idea being she got everything she wanted power to rule & love/feared by all.

Nega Nova: This one is admitting the lazy one of the group as it's exactly what is on the tin can. A Nightmare Moon version of Celestia. The old saying of how the mighty have fallen, and the what if role reversal. You might think Tyrant Trollestia would be more fitting and in a way yes but I feel that Nega Nova is a more fitting name.

Nightmare Moon: I Know you don't need any introduction to so moving on.

Eta-473 aka Hate: Dark Cadence has done the armor of Eta-473 the cyborg known simple as Hate. While NOT the original character in mind I found this works cause well mostly all I get when I find Evil Cadence is Chrysalis in her form. Not really Cadence. What makes this interesting to me was something I liked why I had hoped in creating Eta is the fact that anyone could be come Eta-473, which is why the story would not reveal who he was, I wasn't even planing to make him male but had to refer to him as such for easier writing. Oddly fitting that it's cadence since a spoiler: Her love spell would be the catalyses that would make Eta start to pause, hesitate, & proving that under all that armor & power he is still a pony with flaws.

Mobster Applejack: This one I felt was kind of made for some kind comedic value. But it's works all the same. AJ does care a great deal about her family & her job. And what better dark twist than old Noir Mobsters. You don't go against the Apple Family less they decided that they need more fertilizer for their orchard you understand what I'm saying?

Protected Applebloom: The game over bad ending of Story of the Blanks. If I were to make all these ponies into one dark universe I would imagine that having a wanted criminal for most of her family, little Applebloom has no desire to take part in any of it and heads for the Everfree forest. and to keep it slightly lighthearted she is still torn (much like Mitta) know now that she is part of the same evil that killed a pony for being different but can help but feel slightly comforted by being with ponies who feel like they aren't special either.


The Whitina: Pinkie's dark side tends to get over shadowed by the very incorrect why her being a Knife crazy. So I had to ask what WOULD be the proper dark side of Pinkie? Well I came up with a combination of Epic Mickey's Scapper Mickey that wasn't used for the game sadly and the villain from first Never Ending Story movie/book: The Nothing. The Whintina is just the opposite of Pinkie on a grand scale. Instead of smiles & joy with color she dark depressed and wipes away everything in her path as you can see she is loosing her color in herself. I would have added dripping paint but it would have looked too much like blood. The Nothing if you don't know of that movie was emptiness left behind when people stopped using their imagination & reading it is literally the void. I feel with Pinkie in her reality bending power & wanting to spread love & joy in the world, this would be her real dark side & I have to say it's scarier than her just being a Knife Crazy murder.

Primal Shy: Dark Fluttershy aka Primal Shy is something interesting twist. This Fluttershy we kind of have seen before when she was trying to be more assertive. And I have to think this would make sense. Her going old primal ways with laws of the jungles make sense in how she would not only treat the animals around her but also other ponies. The Strongest live, you eat or your eaten. Given that she would live in such a place like the Everfree forest I would guess she would have to become stronger & tougher than most others which is why she is built like a Clydesdale pony like Big Macintosh.

ShadowBolt RainbowDash: RD was kind of hard to think of. In fact I had the idea before the episode of the Wonderbolts of a story were they didn't let her in by irony of the episode being to reckless and "too fast" for the Wonderbolts. So she made the ShadowBolts as a dangerous Stunt Team with some unlikely ponies that join her. The whole rookies with limited skills that never made the cut, form their own group to show that if they were given the chance they could become the best. (A possible Lighting Dust episode ?) That being said as far as going dark, I think her turning her back on friends & selling out others for her own sake would be the dark version of Rainbow Dash. A team that is constantly changing and isn't afraid to do it dirty to win at any cost. A small detail you might not be able to see is that RD's cutie mark's cloud is dark grey like a actual storm cloud.

And that's it. I thought it would be interesting to do and wile I was working on these dark forms. I remembered Monster's bunnies else world story & I thought why not make them too. So I literally have Doom & Gloom.
